熱帯というと、真っ先にどこを思い浮かべますか？
私は、インド、アフリカ、ブラジル。日本だと、奄美大島かな。密林には色とりどりの熱帯植物や動物が暮らしていて、一見楽しそうですが毎日激しい生存競争が繰り返されていて、明日の生存の保証はされていません。
しかし、たくさんの雨が降り注ぐ大地は栄養分も多く、生存競争で敗れた命の亡骸さえ肥やしにして、新しい生命を生み出していきます。
私はこの密林は、女性の生命力と似たものがあると思います。
男性にないもの...鋭い感受性や包容力は、人生や日常生活でいろいろなことを受け入れ、感動したり傷付いたり、喜んだり楽しんだりして、心の栄養分を増やしていきます。
そして育んできた栄養分を次の子孫へ、あるいは社会へと分け与えることができます。
だから女性はもっと自分の感じていることや生き方に自信を持って、自由に生きていいのだと思います。
